Then it cuts to this next shot, which helps the audience start engaging in the story. We decided to use an extreme long shot for this, as again you can see more of the surrounding area and we can also see more of the characters actions, and therefore the beginning of the story taking place.
The next shot is when we then cut to split screen, and we decided to use a wipe transition to help the transtition between full screen and the split screen.
At the beginning, we decided to keep similar types of shots on each side, so the audience could begin to understand where the characters are and what they're doing. This then helps later on, so the audience can realise that one character is unlucky while the other is lucky. During the filming of the split-screen shots, we made sure to keep in mind the framing of each shot, as we did not want to have any of the actors cut out. Therefore, we made sure we framed each shot correctly and that the actors were in the correct places.

A later shot is a close-up and a tracking shot and is also at eye-level (straight-on). This is so that the audience can begin to see the characters in more detail, and also that their expressions are similar at the current moment (as nothing unlucky or lucky has happened yet). We decided to have this shot tracking backwards because we are following the characters walking, and this is so the audience can feel part of the film.
I thought that on these later shots, having the right character (unlucky person) look down at the camera (low angle shot) gives the impression that he now feels sad and depressed (after all the unlucky events), which we can also see by his facial expression as it is also a close up.
When filming the shot when the left character (lucky person) is grabbing the money, we had to keep in mind the continuity system, making sure that the character grabbed the money from the correct direction. If we did not do this, then the continuity wouldn't of flowed well. We also had to make sure that it flowed well during editing, using a cut transition.

The money was part of the props we used for the film, and we also used a four leaf clover and wallet. We used the natural outdoors to film and therefore we had ambient lighting throughout the film. We decided to film on Rosyln Road and Middleton Gardens as this shows a normal, everyday setting with normal people, and the costumes/outfits of the characters also show this. We did not use any lighting equipment during our production.
The sound throughout most of these scenes is a soundtrack which we created on Garageband. We had no sound other than the soundtracks, as we decided that any dialogue or sound effects weren't necessary.
We mainly used cuts throughout the film, however there were a couple of fades and wipe transitions to show the change in time or place.
During the editing, we also added titles and credits.
