Production Diary
26/05/2013-
Today was our first day of filming and we had decided to travel down to the Docks at Gorelston to film some of our footage. We filmed mostly cut-aways, such as the water and walking shots that we will use when we cut parts of the interview. I felt that today was a successful start to making the production, and me and my partner can clearly imagine that documentary (format etc.) in our heads.
1/05/2013-
After emailing Lisa Osborne previously, we today went to her office to interview her. However, as she did not want to be recorded, we wrote down the answers we received and instead used this for inspiration for our Documentary. She also pointed us in the direction of another Learning Support Assisstant, named Paul Treadwell, and we have contacted him hoping we are able to interview him on camera.
2/05/2013-
Today we started to edit the footage we have already gotten from the 26th, and we have also started making the opening sequence on After Effects. This overall went successful and I feel that we are already making good progress with our product, however, we need to film much more to fill the 3 minutes.
3/05/2013-
Today, during one of my free lessons, I went to see Paul Treadwell to interview him and collect some information about suicide. This overall went very well, and later on today in the lesson, we uploaded this footage and continued to edit the documentary on Premiere Pro.
8/05/2013-
We continued more with editing and added titles to our current piece. We also went out and filmed a couple more scenes we felt like we needed, came back and started to piece our documentary together more.
9/05/2013-
We have now edited much more of the footage, such as the cut-aways, and we are slowly completing the editing. We have added the pictures at the end from the presentation; which are informing the audience about how they can help people. So far, and overall I am happy with the product however I feel that we could have maybe made some parts more interesting for the audience.
14/05/2013-
For the past couple of lessons we have been completing the editing and adjusting certain scenes. Today, we exported the documentary and it will then be uploaded.
