Audience Research: My Poster

Overall 9 people answered my questionnaire. 4 people being male, 5 being female.

Poster:

4. What genre do you think the film is based on the poster?

From these results I can see that the majority of people actually enjoy science fiction films, and this is good as this is one of the genres of my film. A couple of people thought that the film looked like a horror, adventure, action, animation and a fantasy- and this is also good as these are side genres of the films.

5. Would you watch a film just because of the poster?

I can see that people will see films just because of the poster, but usually it depends on the poster itself. However, a couple of people wont.

8. What appeals to you most? (in the poster)

I can see from these results that people liked the colours and animation the most of the poster. This can possibly mean that the colours stand out, and I have successfully shown the audience that the poster is an animation.

9. If you were to find out more information about the film, what would you research?
From these results, I see that people would want to find out more about the actors and actresses in the film and also more about the storyline/plot. However, nobody wanted to find out more about the genre, which I think means I have successfully shown the genre on the poster.

10. Would you therefore go and pay to see this film based on the poster?

From this particular poster I designed, people say that they possibly or would see the film, and I overall think that this means my poster is a success.
